Leverage raises exposure well beyond the amount deposited.

Access Status
XTB does not accept clients from Pakistan. Pakistani residents are on XTB's restricted list and cannot open an account or use the Android app.
No XTB entity holds a license from Pakistan's Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) oversees foreign-exchange policy and does not permit margin-based currency trading within the country.
Pakistani residents who trade with offshore brokers must use brokers regulated by FCA, ASIC, or CySEC. This is legal only when funded through legitimate banking channels. Using Hawala/Hundi or unregulated platforms that bypass the banking system is illegal.
Platform Capabilities
XTB's proprietary platform is xStation 5, available on web, desktop, and mobile. The Android app provides access to over 1,900 instruments, including forex, indices, commodities, stock and ETF CFDs, and crypto CFDs. Real, unleveraged shares are not offered outside the EEA.
Since XTB does not serve Pakistan, the platform is not available to residents.
Costs and Fees
XTB's global pricing structure includes a Standard account (commission-free, spreads from 0.5–0.9 pips on USD/CAD) and Pro account (per-lot commission with tighter spreads). No minimum deposit is required globally.
| Account Type | Commission | Spreads (USD/CAD) | Minimum Deposit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | None | 0.5–0.9 pips | None |
| Pro | Per-lot | Tighter than Standard | None |
These terms do not apply in Pakistan. No accounts or promotions are available to Pakistani residents.
Regulatory Framework in Pakistan
Retail forex and CFD trading is not criminalised in Pakistan, but SECP does not issue local retail forex or CFD broker licences and SBP does not allow margin-based currency trading inside the country. No SBP-mandated domestic neutral body exists.
Offshore brokers used by Pakistani residents advertise leverage up to approximately 1:1000. Trading with offshore brokers is legal only when deposits are made through legitimate banking channels. SECP has reiterated crackdowns (2026) on unlicensed currency and commodity-futures operators.

Tax Considerations
Profits from forex or derivatives trading are generally taxed as income for Pakistani residents. Where treated as capital gains on movable assets (other than exchange-traded securities), they are taxable at your normal slab rate. Residents are taxed on worldwide income.
You must file a Foreign Income and Assets Statement if your foreign income exceeds USD 10,000 or foreign assets exceed USD 100,000 in the tax year. The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is the tax authority (https://www.fbr.gov.pk).
Common Scams and Warnings
SECP issues investor alerts against unlicensed and illegal investment schemes. Common scams include unlicensed 'forex/MLM' schemes promising fixed high returns, Telegram/WhatsApp signal and 'account management' groups, fake broker apps, and Hawala-based deposit intermediaries.
Alternative Brokers
Several international brokers regulated by FCA, ASIC, or CySEC explicitly accept Pakistani residents and offer commission-free trading. These include AvaTrade, BDSwiss, BlackBull Markets, Capital.com, Eightcap, FP Markets, FXGT, FXTM, Fusion Markets, JustMarkets, KTrade, LiteFinance, Mitrade, Moneta Markets, and OctaFX. Many also offer Islamic swap-free accounts, which are important for most retail traders in Pakistan.
